Biography

Sarah was born and raised in South Dakota. She knew early in life that she wanted to become a physical therapist and picked Creighton University for her undergraduate school as it also had a doctorate in physical therapy program. During graduate school, Sarah traveled all over the U.S. and beyond completing her clinical work including one month in the Dominican Republic where she provided pediatric home health services. It did not take long for her to realize that her passion for physical therapy was in the pediatric world. Sarah moved to Chicago after school to work at La Rabida Children’s Hospital which is a small, nonprofit, subacute rehab center for six years. Life then moved Sarah and her family to Denver for five years where she worked part-time at Children’s Hospital of Colorado as well as at a pediatric home health agency.  She and her husband, Jeremy, settled into Spokane with their two girls in 2016. When the time was right, Sarah jumped on the opportunity to work with the team at Joya and is thrilled to be working with children again.
