Biography

Nadine Krop was born and raised in Spokane. She graduated from Mt. Spokane High School where she perused several volunteer opportunities working with children. Part of these opportunities included volunteering for the Spokane Guild School Penny Drive which kickstarted her interest in the world of therapy services. She knew from that moment; she had a passion for working with children and helping them to grow into the best possible version of themselves. Nadine completed a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from EWU in 2019 and obtained a Home Care Aide license through the state to further promote her passion for working with individuals. She expanded her skills and knowledge by working with several retirement communities in the area, as well as becoming an Individual Provider working in a home for a pediatric client with disabilities. Nadine began EWU’s Master of Occupational Therapy program in 2020 at the beginning of the COVID-19 Pandemic. She completed her final level two fieldwork rotation with Joya in fall of 2022 and knew from week one that Joya was the place for her. Nadine successfully completed her degree and acquired National Board Certification for Occupational Therapy in December of 2022 and licensure in January 2023. Nadine also plans to further her education with a post-professional doctoral degree within the next 5 years.

There is no greater feeling than seeing the pride and joy on a child’s face and knowing they will continue to succeed through life. Being a part of these kids’ and families’ stories is an incredible honor and Nadine looks forward to her continued career with Joya!
