At Joya since 1986
Practicing Speech-Language Pathologist since 1986
Ann developed an interest in children with special needs and hearing loss after volunteering while she was in high school. She took sign language classes and majored in special education at the University of South Florida. After a year of teaching, she decided that speech therapy would be a better fit and returned to school to obtain a master’s degree in communication disorders. Ann has made an impact on the lives of children attending Joya since 1986. When Ann is not helping families and children, she enjoys spending time with her family. Ann and her husband, Eric, have one son, a physical therapist, and a daughter-in-law, a nurse, who live in Portland. They also have a giant golden doodle named Sophie.
