Biography
Monique is a native of east Tennessee, but happily moved to her husband’s home town of Spokane when he retired after 21 years of military service. Helping young children move better and successfully meet life’s challenges has been a consistent theme in Monique’s studies and career. After more than 20 years of teaching dance in studios, universities, and in the magnet arts program in her hometown of Knoxville, Monique decided to go back to school. She feels she has found her calling as a pediatric occupational therapist at Joya Child & Family Development. In her downtime, Monique enjoys hiking, kayaking, camping, reading and cross-stitching.
